What Are Foundation Texts?

Foundation Texts are deep exegetical analyses of the key passages in each Trajectory Table. While a Trajectory Table gives you the overview — the arc from Old Testament to Christ — a Foundation Text dives into a single passage and examines it in detail.

Each Foundation Text typically includes:

  • The biblical text linked to the Readable Bible
  • Historical-grammatical analysis — what the passage meant in its original context
  • Hebrew and Greek word studies — key terms explored in the original languages
  • Canonical connections — how this passage connects to the rest of Scripture
  • Christological significance — how this text points to Christ

There are ~2,742 Foundation Texts organized by their parent Trajectory Table.
