Significance: In 17:26–37 Jesus describes the “days of the Son of Man” (17:22–25) and compares them with “the days of Noah” (17:26–27) and with “the days of Lot” (17:28–29), warning against the indifference and nonchalance of “this generation,” which will face judgment on the day of the Son of Man (17:30–35).
