Significance: Paul adapts Moses's action of removing his veil when entering God's presence to describe conversion. Key interpretive move: Moses removed veil → anyone who turns to Christ has veil removed. The "Lord" in v.16 is Christ (cf. v.17 "the Lord is the Spirit"). Physical veil → spiritual veil over hearts; Moses entering presence → believer turning to Christ; Moses unveiled before glory → believer transformed by beholding glory.
