Significance: Establishes Moses-Christ comparison (synkrisis). Both appointed and faithful, but Christ superior as son over the house vs. servant in the house. "House" imagery from Davidic covenant where God promises to build David's house and David's son will build God's house. The distinction is not between unfaithful Moses and faithful Christ, but between their respective roles and honors—the builder has more honor than the house. This sets up the crucial warning against unfaithfulness that follows, showing that if even Moses the faithful servant must be heeded, how much more the faithful Son.
