Significance: Isaiah 66:7-9 prophesies an extraordinary birth: Zion delivers before her labor pains come, bringing forth a nation "in a moment." This birth is miraculous and instantaneous — a divine act of new creation that bypasses the normal process of prolonged suffering. Revelation 12:2 combines both Isaianic birth traditions: the painful labor of Isaiah 26:17 with the triumphant delivery of Isaiah 66:7. The woman's pain is real, but the outcome is decisive — the male child is born and immediately "caught up to God and to His throne" (Rev 12:5). Isaiah 66:8 asks, "Can a country be born in a day?" — and Revelation answers yes: through the Messiah's birth, death, resurrection, and ascension, the new people of God are brought forth. The connection grounds Revelation's cosmic drama in Isaiah's eschatological vision of Zion's miraculous restoration.
