Significance: Daniel 7:9-11 describes the heavenly court scene: "thrones were set in place" (korsawan remiu), the Ancient of Days took His seat, "the court sat in judgment, and the books were opened," and the beast was slain. Revelation 20:4 echoes: "I saw the thrones, and those seated on them had been given authority to judge." Both texts share thrones (plural), judicial authority, and the context of beast-defeat. Daniel's "saints of the Most High" who "receive the kingdom" (7:22, 27) correspond to those who "came to life and reigned with Christ." The allusion connects the millennium to Daniel's fifth kingdom — the kingdom given to the saints after the four beast-empires are overthrown. Daniel's vision of judgment and kingdom thus finds its fulfillment in the post-parousia reign of the saints with Christ.
