Significance: Daniel's throne-room vision describes the Ancient of Days attended by an innumerable heavenly host: "thousands upon thousands served him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him" ('alph 'alphin... veribbo rivvan). John echoes this exact numerical formula: "myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands" (myriades myriadōn kai chiliades chiliadōn). In Daniel, this angelic assembly gathers for the judgment of the beast kingdoms; in Revelation, they gather to worship the Lamb who has triumphed. The continuity of the heavenly court imagery affirms that the same divine throne room envisioned by Daniel is now revealed in its fullness to John — but with a crucial addition: at the center stands the slain Lamb, receiving the same worship as the One seated on the throne. The angelic hosts who attended YHWH in judgment now acclaim the Lamb in worship, implying the Lamb's full participation in divine sovereignty.
