Significance: The Judges 2:6-9 prologue recounts how the people served the LORD during Joshua's lifetime and during the lifetime of the elders "who had seen all the great works of the LORD that He had done for Israel" (אֲשֶׁר רָאוּ אֵת כָּל־מַעֲשֵׂה יְהוָה הַגָּדוֹל).
