Significance: The Chronicler includes Seth and Enosh from Genesis 5:6-8, the generation in which "men began to call upon the name of the LORD" (Gen 4:26). Where Genesis records Seth's full lifespan of 912 years and the death formula, Chronicles compresses this to a name in a list. The inclusion of the Seth line (rather than Cain's) signals the Chronicler's focus on the elect lineage through whom God preserves His covenant purposes from Adam onward to Abraham and eventually to David.
