Significance: Deuteronomy 12:26 directs Israel to bring consecrated offerings and vow offerings to "the place the LORD will choose." David's gathering of all Israel to transfer the ark to Jerusalem (1 Chr 15:3) establishes the site toward which such offerings are to be directed.
