Significance: Both texts describe the conclusion of the ark celebration: after distributing food to the people, David blessed them and they departed "each to his own house" (אִישׁ לְבֵיתוֹ, ish leveito), and David returned home to bless his household. 2 Samuel 6:19-20 transitions immediately into Michal's contemptuous confrontation with David, while 1 Chronicles 16:43 simply notes David's return home to bless his family and then moves directly into the Davidic covenant oracle (1 Chr 17).
