Significance: Ezekiel 37:24-28 draws extensively on the covenant blessings of Leviticus 26. The promise "I will be their God, and they shall be My people" (37:27) echoes the covenant formula of Leviticus 26:12 (וְהָיִיתִי לָכֶם לֵאלֹהִים וְאַתֶּם תִּהְיוּ־לִי לְעָם). The placement of God's מִשְׁכָּן (mishkan, "dwelling") among them (37:27) directly parallels Leviticus 26:11 (וְנָתַתִּי מִשְׁכָּנִי בְּתוֹכְכֶם). However, Ezekiel adds the critical qualifier "forever" (לְעוֹלָם, le'olam)—the Sinai covenant's conditional blessings become permanent under the new covenant arrangement, secured through the Davidic shepherd and the internal transformation promised in chapter 36.
