Significance: Zechariah 6:11-13 crowns the high priest Joshua and declares that "the Branch" will "be a priest on His throne, and there will be peaceful counsel between the two (offices)." This merging of royal and priestly functions develops Jeremiah 33:14-18, which promises both a "righteous Branch" (צֶמַח צְדָקָה, tsemach tsedaqah) for David and perpetual Levitical priests to offer sacrifices.
