Overview
Psalm 132 . 1 , David in his prayer commends unto God the religious care he had for the ark; Psalm 132 . 8 , His prayer at the removing of the ark; Psalm 132 . 11 , with a repetition of God’s promises.
Some attribute this Psalm to Solomon; and others refer it to the building of the second temple; but it seems more probable that it was sung at the solemn induction of the ark into the tabernacle of Mount Zion , expressing the holy joy and triumph of that event.
