Exodus 23:16BSB
You are also to keep the Feast of Harvest with the firstfruits of the produce from what you sow in the field. And keep the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather your produce from the field.

From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, you are to count off seven full weeks. You shall count off fifty days until the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then present an offering of new grain to the LORD. Bring two loaves of bread from your dwellings as a wave offering, each made from two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour, baked with leaven, as the firstfruits to the LORD. Along with the bread you are to present seven unblemished male lambs a year old, one young bull, and two rams. They will be a burnt offering to the LORD, together with their grain offerings and drink offerings—an offering made by fire, a pleasing aroma to the LORD. You shall also prepare one male goat as a sin offering and two male lambs a year old as a peace offering. The priest is to wave the lambs as a wave offering before the LORD, together with the bread of the firstfruits. The bread and the two lambs shall be holy to the LORD for the priest. On that same day you are to proclaim a sacred assembly, and you must not do any regular work. This is to be a permanent statute wherever you live for the generations to come.

On the day of firstfruits, when you present an offering of new grain to the LORD during the Feast of Weeks, you are to hold a sacred assembly; you must not do any regular work.

You are to count off seven weeks from the time you first put the sickle to the standing grain. And you shall celebrate the Feast of Weeks to the LORD your God with a freewill offering that you give in proportion to how the LORD your God has blessed you, and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God in the place He will choose as a dwelling for His Name—you, your sons and daughters, your menservants and maidservants, and the Levite within your gates, as well as the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widows among you. Remember that you were slaves in Egypt, and carefully follow these statutes.
The Spirit is given “when the day of Pentecost came” (Acts 2:1) — the Feast of Weeks, one of the three pilgrimage feasts, kept fifty days after Passover as the festival of the wheat harvest’s firstfruits (Exodus 23:16; Leviticus 23:15-21; Numbers 28:26; Deuteronomy 16:9-12). The timing is not incidental. As Christ our Passover was sacrificed at Passover, so the Spirit is poured out at the feast of firstfruits — and the three thousand gathered that day (2:41) are the firstfruits of the new-covenant harvest the feast prefigured. The agricultural festival that brought the season’s first sheaves before the LORD finds its substance in the ingathering of the nations begun at Pentecost. The shadow of the calendar gives way to the reality: the ascended Christ sends the promised Spirit, constituting His church as the firstfruits of a harvest that will fill the earth.
