Paul echoes the Akedah (binding of Isaac): Romans 8:32's "did not spare" (οὐκ ἐφείσατο) is a resonant did-not-spare echo of LXX Genesis 22:16 (οὐκ ἐφείσω, "you did not spare") — suggestive rather than citation-grade, since the {spare, son} collocation recurs elsewhere in the Greek Scriptures, so the connection rests on the typology Hebrews 11:17-19 seals first-order, not on the verbal echo alone. The escalation runs in the manner: the essential correspondence — the father gives the beloved only son; a substitute secures life — is preserved and heightened at both poles, while the manner inverts. Isaac was spared and a ram died in his place; God did not spare His own Son, doing what He stopped Abraham from doing, and the Son Himself is the provided Lamb. Paul's logic is a fortiori ("He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us all things?") — as with Abraham, and beyond, never "unlike Abraham."
