Earlier text
then the LORD your God will choose a dwelling for His Name. And there you are to bring everything I command you: your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, and all the choice offerings you vow to the LORD.
God's response to Solomon declares "I have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice" (bacharti li et-hammaqom hazzeh le-veit zavach, 2 Chr 7:12), directly fulfilling Deuteronomy 12:11's promise that "the LORD your God will choose a dwelling for His Name." The divine declaration uses the verb bachar ("choose") to confirm Jerusalem's temple as the specific location Deuteronomy anticipated. For the Chronicler's post-exilic audience, this divine ratification of the temple site—delivered not by a human prophet but by God Himself—provides the strongest possible authorization for rebuilding on the same location.
