1 Kings 5:5BSB
So behold, I plan to build a house for the Name of the LORD my God, according to what the LORD said to my father David: 'I will put your son on your throne in your place, and he will build the house for My Name.'
1 Kings 5:19 (MT) = 5:5 (Eng) — the same verse under two versification systems. In it Solomon tells Hiram he plans to build the temple for the Name of the LORD, "according to what the LORD said to my father David: 'I will put your son on your throne in your place, and he will build the house for My Name'" — the throne-succession and house-building promise that echoes 2 Samuel 7:13. This connects to Psalm 110:1's enthroned Davidic king-priest, whose reign issues in the true house of God. The footstool clause "under the soles of his feet" (תַּחַת כַּפּוֹת רַגְלָיו, tachat kappot raglav) belongs not to this verse but to 1 Kings 5:3 (see Psalms 110.1 to 1 Kings 5.3), where Solomon recalls that David could not build "until the LORD had put his enemies under his feet." As a house-building echo rather than a verbal citation of Psalm 110:1's footstool oracle, this is a supporting, not a demonstrable, connection.
