Revelation 21:24-26BSB

By its light the nations will walk, and into it the kings of the earth will bring their glory. Its gates will never be shut at the end of the day, because there will be no night there. And into the city will be brought the glory and honor of the nations.

Significance

Isaiah 60 describes Zion's future glory: "Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn" (v. 3); "the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come" (v. 5); "Your gates will always stand open, they will never be shut, day or night, so that people may bring you the wealth of the nations" (v. 11). Revelation 21:24-26 fulfills each element: "By its light the nations will walk, and into it the kings of the earth will bring their glory" (v. 24); "Its gates will never be shut" (v. 25); "the glory and honor of the nations" will be brought in (v. 26). The verbal parallels are extensive and systematic. The escalation is from the post-exilic restoration of earthly Jerusalem to the eternal New Jerusalem, where Gentile inclusion reaches its consummation.
