Exodus 25:9BSB
You must make the tabernacle and design all its furnishings according to the pattern I show you.
Exodus 25:9 records God commanding Moses to make the tabernacle and its furnishings "according to the pattern I show you" (תַּבְנִית, tavnit), and 1 Chronicles 28:19 describes David receiving temple plans in the same manner: "All this," said David, "all the details of this plan, the LORD has made clear to me in writing by His hand upon me" (תַּבְנִית, tavnit). Both texts use the key term תַּבְנִית (tavnit, "pattern/plan") to describe divinely revealed architectural blueprints. The parallel establishes that both tabernacle and temple were designed by God, not by human imagination—Moses received the wilderness tabernacle pattern on Sinai, and David received the temple pattern through direct divine communication. Read at the weight the evidence funds, this is a Longitudinal-Theme motif-witness: one divinely-revealed tavnit shared by tabernacle and temple, marking Israel's sanctuaries as given rather than devised. It is not itself a claim about the sanctuaries' conformity to a heavenly original—that further step is the apostolic reading of Exodus 25:40 in Hebrews 8:5, and it belongs there, not here.
