Definition
Septuagint (Apostolic Bible Polyglot) extension number — a Greek OT word absent from the NT Strong's list. Noun — a complaint, blame, fault charged (cf. the NT's μεμψίμοιρος, complainers). Elihu's word: the complaint Job says God has found against him — and, in the LXX's mediating-angel passage, the fault the angel declares to man before the ransom.
- complaint
- blame, fault
Septuagint usage
3 occurrences in the LXX Reference interlinear: Job 33:10 (Elihu quoting Job — "He has found a complaint against me; He counts me as His enemy"); Job 33:23 (if there be an angel over him, one mediator of a thousand, to declare to man his own fault — then He is gracious and says, "deliver him from going down to the pit; I have found a ransom"); Job 39:7 (the wild donkey — he laughs at the tumult of the city, and does not hear the complaint of the exactor).
