And ascended and camped against Jabish Gilead. And said to Nahash the Ammonite, Ordain with us a covenant! and we will serve you.
And said By this I will ordain with you a covenant, in the gouging out of all of you eye and I will make it for scorn upon all Israel.
And spoke Spare us seven days, and we will send messengers unto every border of Israel. And if there might not be one delivering us, then we will come forth to you.
And came into Gibeah to Saul, and they spoke these words into the ears of the people; and lifted up their voice, and they wept.
And behold, Saul came from behind the oxen from out of And Saul said, Why weep And they described to him the words of the men of Jabish.

And he took two oxen, and dismembered them, and sent them unto every border of Israel by of messengers, saying, Whosoever is not going forth after Saul and after Samuel, according to thus they shall do his oxen. And there fell a change of state of the lord upon the people, and they yelled as man
And he numbered them in Bezek, all of Israel three hundred thousand, and of Judah thirty thousand.
And he said to the messengers, to the ones coming, Thus you shall say to the men of Jabish Gilead, Tomorrow there will be deliverance to you at the warming through of the sun. And came into the city, and they reported to the men of Jabish, and they were glad.
And said to Nahash the Ammonite, Tomorrow we shall come forth to you, and you shall do to us what before you.
And it came to pass with the morning, that Saul put the people into three companies, and they entered into of the camp in the early morning watch, and they struck the sons of Ammon until warmed through And it came to pass, the ones being left behind were scattered, and there was not left behind among them two together.
And said to Samuel, Who is the one saying, Saul shall not reign over us? Deliver up the men! and we will kill them.
And Saul said, Not shall die in this day, for today deliverance in Israel.
And Samuel said to the people, saying, Come, we should go unto Gilgal, and we should renew there the kingdom.
And went unto Gilgal; and Samuel anointed Saul there as king before in Gilgal. And he sacrificed there sacrifice offerings and peace offerings before And was glad and all of Israel greatly.
