Job 16

Job 16 - 1

And undertaking, Job says,

Job 16 - 2

I have heard such things many. Comforters of bad are all.

Job 16 - 3

For what, not order is there in words of wind? or what shall it trouble you that you answer?

Job 16 - 4

I also as you could speak if laid indeed your life instead of my life. So then I shall assail you with words, and I will shake as you my head.

Job 16 - 5

And may that there be strength in my mouth, the movement then of my lips I would not spare.

Job 16 - 6

For if I shall speak shall not ache my wound; and if also I keep silent, how less will I be pierced?

Job 16 - 7

But now, me exhausted he has made, moron a festering, and it took hold of me.

Job 16 - 8

For a testimony I became, and rose up in me my lie; according to my face it was answered.

Job 16 - 9

In anger the one dealing with me cast me down; he gnashed against me his teeth; the arrows of his marauders upon me have fallen;

Job 16 - 10

points of his eyes he assailed me with the sharp; he smote me onto my knees; and with one accord they ran upon me.

Job 16 - 11

delivered for me the lord into the hands of the unjust, and unto the impious he tossed me.

Job 16 - 12

Making peace he effaced me; taking me by the hair of the head he plucked it out; he placed me as if an exemplar.

Job 16 - 13

They encircled me with lances, casting into my kidney, not sparing; they poured out onto the earth my bile.

Job 16 - 14

They threw me down, downfall upon downfall; they ran against me prevailing.

Job 16 - 15

sackcloth they sewed upon my hide; and my strength in the ground was extinguished.

Job 16 - 16

My belly burns from weeping, and upon my eyelids a shadow of death.

Job 16 - 17

unjust thing and not one there was in my hands, vow and my is pure.

Job 16 - 18

O earth, you should not cover over the blood of my flesh, nor may there be a place for my cry.

Job 16 - 19

And now behold, in the heavens is my witness, and my joint witness is in the highest.

Job 16 - 20

May arrive my supplication unto the lord, and before him may drip tears my eye.

Job 16 - 21

And may it be reproof to man before the lord, and to a son of man to his neighbor.

Job 16 - 22

years But counted have come; and in the way in which I shall not be returned I shall go.
