Isaiah 23


Isaiah 23 - 1

The matter of Tyre. Shriek O boats of Carthage! For she perished, and no longer do they come from out of of Chittim; she is led captive.

Isaiah 23 - 2

To whom likened traders of Phoenicia passing through the sea;

Isaiah 23 - 3

in water a seed of traders; as

Isaiah 23 - 4

Be ashamed, O Sidon, said the sea! Even the strength of the sea said, I travailed not, nor gave birth, nor nourished young ones, nor raised up virgins.

Isaiah 23 - 5

But whenever audible in Egypt, shall overtake them concerning Tyre.

Isaiah 23 - 6

Go forth to Carthage! Shriek! O ones dwelling in this island.

Isaiah 23 - 7

not your insolence, the one from before she was delivered up?

Isaiah 23 - 8

Who planned these things against Tyre? she inferior or not strong? Her merchants rulers of the earth.

Isaiah 23 - 9

of Hosts plans to disable all the insolence of the glorious ones, and to dishonor every glorious thing upon the earth.

Isaiah 23 - 10

Work your land! for even boats no longer come from out of Carthage.

Isaiah 23 - 11

And your hand no longer prevails against O one provoking kings. of Hosts gave charge concerning Canaan, to destroy her strength.

Isaiah 23 - 12

And they shall say, No longer in any way should you proceed to insult and to wrong the daughter of Zion; and if you should go forth to Chittim, not even there shall be rest to you.

Isaiah 23 - 13

And of the Chaldeans, even this was made desolate from the Assyrians, not even there to you for her wall has fallen.

Isaiah 23 - 14

Shriek! boats of Carthage, for is destroyed

Isaiah 23 - 15

And it will be in that day, Tyre shall be forsaken years as king as of a man. And after seventy years Tyre will be as of a harlot.

Isaiah 23 - 16

Take a harp! Stray! city being forgotten. well much that takes place.

Isaiah 23 - 17

And it will be after the seventy years, a visit to Tyre, and again she shall be restored to and she shall be a market-place for all the kingdoms of the inhabitable world upon of the earth.

Isaiah 23 - 18

And will be holy not but to the ones dwelling before her trade, to eat and to drink, and be filled, and for a compact memorial before
