1 Samuel 18


1 Samuel 18 - 1

And it came to pass as he finished speaking to Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was bound together to the soul of David; and loved according to his own soul.

1 Samuel 18 - 2

And received in that day, and he did not allow him to return to the house of his father.

1 Samuel 18 - 3

And ordained a covenant, for he loved him according to his soul.

1 Samuel 18 - 4

And Jonathan took off the outer garment, the one upon him, and he gave it David, and his uniform, unto his broadsword, and the bow, and his belt.

1 Samuel 18 - 5

And David went forth perceiving in all what ever sent And placed over the men war. And he pleased in of all the people, and also even in of the manservants of Saul.

1 Samuel 18 - 6

And it came to pass in his entering, when David returned striking the Philistine, that came forth joining in a dance and singing, to meet Saul the king from out of all the cities of Israel, with tambourines, and with joyfulness, and with cymbals.

1 Samuel 18 - 7

And took the lead playing, and said, Saul struck his thousands, and David his ten thousands.

1 Samuel 18 - 8

And Saul was provoked to anger, and appeared as before Saul concerning this word. And he said, They gave David the ten thousands, and to me they gave the thousands. And what besides the kingdom?

1 Samuel 18 - 9

And Saul was suspecting David from that day and beyond.

1 Samuel 18 - 10

And it came to pass of the next day, that fell upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of his house; And David strummed with his hand as according to each day; and the wooden spear the hand of Saul.

1 Samuel 18 - 11

And Saul lifted the wooden spear and said, I will strike into David and into the wall. And David turned aside from his presence twice.

1 Samuel 18 - 12

And Saul feared from of David, for with him. And from

And removed from himself, and placed him to himself And he went forth and entered before the people.

1 Samuel 18 - 14

And David was in and was with him.

1 Samuel 18 - 15

And Saul beheld as he perceived exceedingly, and he was cautious of his person.

And all Israel and Judah loved David, for he entered and went forth before of the people.

1 Samuel 18 - 17

And Saul said to David, Behold, my daughter, elder, Merab. I will give her to you for a wife, only become to me for a son of power, and wage war of the battles of the lord! And Saul said, Let not be upon him, but let be

1 Samuel 18 - 18

And David said to Saul, Who am I, and what is the life of the kin of my father in Israel, that I shall be an in-law of the king?

1 Samuel 18 - 19

And it came to pass in the time of the giving Merab daughter of Saul David, that he gave her to Adriel the Meholathite for a wife.

1 Samuel 18 - 20

And loved David. And it was reported to Saul, and was pleasing

1 Samuel 18 - 21

And Saul said, I will give her to him, and she shall be to him for an obstacle, and shall be And Saul said to David You shall ally to me by marriage today.

1 Samuel 18 - 22

And Saul gave charge his servants, saying, You speak in private to David, saying, Behold, want and all his servants love you, and thus you be allied by marriage to the king!

1 Samuel 18 - 23

And spoke into the ears of David these things. And David said, the in your eyes to be allied by marriage to the king? And I am man and not esteemed?

1 Samuel 18 - 24

And reported to him according to these words which David spoke.

1 Samuel 18 - 25

And Saul said, Thus shall you say to David, does not a dowry, but only a hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to avenge against of the king. And Saul devised to put David into the hands of the Philistines.

1 Samuel 18 - 26

And told David these things. And was straightened in of David to be allied by marriage to the king. And were not fulfilled

1 Samuel 18 - 27

And David rose up and went himself and his men, and he struck among the Philistines two hundred men. And he brought their foreskins, and fulfilled them to the king; and he becomes allied by marriage to the king; and gives Michal his daughter for a wife.

1 Samuel 18 - 28

And Saul beheld and knew that David. And Michal his daughter and all Israel loved him.

1 Samuel 18 - 29

And Saul proceeded to fear from before David still. And Saul became hating David all the days.

1 Samuel 18 - 30

And came forth and it came to pass from fit that David perceived above all the servants of Saul. And esteemed
